Step 3: CMS Implementation
During CMS Implementation our programming engineers build out all functionality based on the Technical Requirements Document (TRD) and wire-frames. They set up the back-office database and develop any synchronization strategies to legacy databases (if needed). Working with the design team, the engineers develop all of the customized add-ons, and install any standard add-ons that will be necessary to meet the requirements in the TRD to deliver the most powerful and flexible CMS system for your organization.
CMS Implementation Steps
- Assign Client Technical Contact to be the main point of communication with the client and to be available to answer any questions during implementation.
- Begin internal Alpha Testsing when the development is complete. Alpha testing is performed by the developer to verify all features are included and can be demonstrated.
- Transfer project to to a live Staging Server and Q/A begins once Alpha Testing is completed. QA is performed by the Quality Assurance manager and guarantees the project conforms to the TRD and wire-frames.
- Present the site to the Client Technical Contact for Customer Acceptance. The Customer Acceptance is where the client performs acceptance testing in the staging environment. Customer acceptance testing is complete when the client signs the “work is complete, authorization to publish” form.
